Watched the movie on the 24th June.

F*CKING AWESOMENESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS !!!!

GO WATCH! GO WATCH!

The cast and crew have reassembled once again to bring us a sequel to the first blockbuster Transformers real life movie!

Despite the many bad reviews for ROTF, I felt this movie still kicked ass, and met mine and i'm sure many other transformers fan's expectations.

I think when this movie was created, priority is put to not let down any transformers fans, and it damn sure didn't. Perhaps the bad movie reviews came from people who were not transformers fan; people who watched the movie as just another sci-fi movie and then graded it (of course the storyline isn't GREAT, but its still good! Have you ever watched the cartoons? Its meant to have a simple storyline-good guys always win).

What myself, and probably millions of other transformers fans out there, love about this movie is to watch our childhood cartoons come to LIFE on the big screen!

Movie of course features much much more robots than the first movie, small ones, BIG ones, old ones, new ones, new old ones (LoL), but mostly REALLY KICK ASS ONES!

Anyway.... GO WATCH THE MOVIE!

Oh... and if you ARE a Transformers fan, you probably might wanna grab a couple Transformers:ROTF prequel comics that will make you understand the movie better. =) It tells you everything that happened between the first movie, and this movie, and more!

REIGN OF STARSCREAM (5 Comics)
This takes off immediate after the first movie. Shows what happened to Starscream. How he went back to Cybertron to become the new ruler of the Decepticon. Why he went back to Earth again. What happened to Barricade. etc etc... pretty important stuff.

TRANSFORMERS ROTF: ALLIANCE (4 Comics)
This is the good guy story. Tells immediately what happened AFTER the events of the first movie. Tells how the NEST team was formed. Tells what happened to Sector 7 and Agent Simmons. Tells how the 'new' Autobots from Revenge Of The Fallen movie came to earth... etc etc

TRANSFORMERS ROTF: DEFIANCE (4 Comics)
Last but not least, as a matter of fact, the MOST important of all! Not only does Defiance tells us the bad guy's story, but it also tells a lot about the origins of the Transformers!

Also telss you who The Fallen is. How was the Decepticons formed. What is the Decepticon's mission on Earth. Why did The Cube landed on Earth. What other mission does the Decepticons have on Earth. How did the other Transformers ended up on Earth. How did Optimus gain his Prime status (then name Prime is held on by Autobot leaders from generation to generation)... etc etc

I'm definitely going for seconds with this movie...

1. This is the 2nd time Gerald did a meme and tagged me without following the correct rules! I had to refer to the rules posted by the person who tagged him. -_-"

2. I still can't decide what colour to paint my car...

3. I'm getting an iphone!

4. I bought over 25 Gundam master grade model kits in the past 1 year or so and am still buying more every time there's a new model out, but i've only completed fixing up only 3 of them so far. haha... no time lah!

5. I used to be a librarian in high school.

6. I resigned my position as assistant head prefect to be a librarian.

7. The main reason I became a prefect/librarian was because I'd have a unique nametag and I could wear long sleeve and a tie to school. YenGZ!

8. I was a librarian for 3+half years, and I have never washed my tie even once! HAHAHAHAHA... (when aileng reads this, she's gonna go OMGWTFFFFFFFFFFFFFBBQ!!!)

9. I love debating. I debated a lot through primary, secondary school and college.

10. My team would've won the college inter-course debate competition if it wasn't for my team mate who accidentally blurted out some foul words. We got disqualified for it. (No Matthew, although I still remember, I never did blame u!)

11. I have a gold medal for Sunway College inter-course basketball competition.

12. I used to play chess A LOT... and was good in it.

13. The last time I touched my Tamiya miniature model was 3 years ago. I was building a pink Ferrari as a surprise for my girlfriend, and then we broke up. The Ferrari is still half-done, sitting in it's box, in my cupboard right now.

14. I learned to speak Cantonese while I was 5 years old. My neighbour would tell me a sentence, I'd run in and ask my mom what it meant, she'd tell me. I'd then tell my mom what I want to reply, my mom will tell me how to say it in Cantonese, and I'd run out to my neighbour to say it. This is how I eventually learned to speak
fluently.

15. My sister never learned to speak Cantonese because my nieghbour's elder sister knows how to speak English.

16. I started writing this at 10am in the office, and it is now going to be 7pm... -_-"

Phuket Beer-ing!

Yes, alcohol here is cheap!

So needless to say, my room's fridge (and probably everyone else's as well) is fully stocked with joy juice! =)

Even had a bottle of Korean Soju! Not too bad the taste, but a bit too sharp for my liking.

At 19.5% alcohol, doing shots of this hits u right away.

Its my first time consuming Federbrau. Despite the 'changgih' name, its actually a local Thai brewed beer. Tastes not bad. Worth a try. =)
First time trying Miller beer too! Been seeing their many advertisements many times, usually while watching sports on ESPN! Oh and wrestling matches too... LoLz... but have never given it a try before until now. =)

Miller beer is pretty good stuff. I do like it. Its goes down pretty smoothly unlike the usual roughness like the effect Tiger has (on me, at least).

But what ONE beer MUST you TRULY TRY out when you come to Phuket?

What is that ONE beer, you should never leave Phuket without trying??

What ONE beer is it that if you don't consume, its best you don't say that you've even came to Phuket before?

Food hunting in Abu Dhabi

As most of you would know, it is now the fasting month (Ramadan) for Muslims. UAE needless to say is a Muslim country lah, where Sundays are a working day, and their offdays are on Fridays.
*Meaning their Fridays are like our Sundays lah*

Soooo... one fine Friday, my boss and I tried going outside to source for my lunch.

HOLY COW!

Looking for food for lunch during Ramadan in Abu Dhabi was like hunting for Unicorns. You kinda expect them all to be closed, but at the same time you're hoping to happen to find a place thats open!

First up we walked around all the restaurants around our hotel area. As suspected, all closed. We figured, we should go to the mall lah... probably can get food there.

So we went to Abu Dhabi mall... saw a sign that says the mall only opens at 3.30pm. WTF. What kinda mall only opens at 3.30pm on a public holiday? Imagine 1Utama or Midvalley only open at 3.30pm on Sundays. WTFFFFFFFf...

Okay fine. Our last HOPE i guess was fastfood. There's Pizza Hut, KFC and Hardee's (Carl's Jr. is called Hardee's in the UAE) restaurant nearby, so head there lah!!
As u can all see... WTF man... even fast food restaurants ARE CLOSED! WTF WTF WTF!
The sign says, it opens at 5.30pm. WTFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF...

Seriously... the rest of us who aren't fasting all dun need to eat meh? -_-"

There's just as many Indians, Pakistanis, Philippinos and other immigrant workers here in UAE as non-Muslims in Malaysia okay!

We searched and searched and searched, but to no avail. Almost all shops had signs like this put up:

So yeah, after over an hour of searching... we GIVE UP! Bought instant noodles and went back to our hotel and cook ler. -_-"

On another note, i went out to tapau dinner from Hardee's one day... =p Price wise? A lot cheaper than back home in Malaysia! Most expensive mean also is AED20 (the set I'm having) only... which is just under RM20 at the current exchange rate. =p

As most of you might know, we had a lil' drama on the whole Avril Lavigne is 'too sexy for Malaysia' issue... which then later leaned against her concert conflicting our patriotism.

Apparently in order to fit Malaysia's image you gotta dress appropriately. You must also refrain from jumping, shouting, hugging and kissing in public.

OKAAAAAAAAAAAAAAYYYYYYYYYY...

If a fan runs on stage I guess u can only shake his hand. haha... What kinda concert is it gonna be if u can't jump or shout? WTH man... Avril might as well just sit on a chair and sing slow ballets.

I guess Gerald's plan to go party at the concert looking like this has to be scrapped!

Den summore, have to be careful. Cannot HUG also. Especially when your face emotions look like THIS when your friend has his hand on your shoulders.

External HDD Painting...

Just bought a new 500GB HDD last week, and being the cheapskate me, I didn't wanna buy an expensive external HDD casing, coz' I felt its not necessary. I mean, come on, spending over RM200 on a 500GB HDD is okay, spending more than RM100 for the external casing?
NO FRIGGING WAY!

I'll have the cheapest external HDD casing that looks the least like crap please!

Needless to say ALL external casings that come cheap, ALL look like crap compared to those that costs RM120-150 or more! Check out this one I bought long ago for like 50 bucks or so...

Sometimes I wonder if I should've PAID anything at all for this piece of crap!

So anyhowz, I got my hands on a brand new one, coz' my old one started making funny noises. The new one is a plain one, with a blue LED light at the front of the HDD when its switched on. =p

So yeah, I figured since this one is plain, there's a whole lot u can do to it with an airbrush in your hands. =) But I didn't use airbrush for this one, just some simple spray paint cans I have lying around the house, so technically i didn't have to fork out any additional money. =)

Forgot to take a 'before' pic... but 'before' is just plain black with the words "3.5" external HDD casing" right smack in the middle of each side. I've had to sandpaper them off first before starting with the base coat. =p

Here's the finished product. Took me 2 "nights before going to sleep" to finish it up. =)
The matching background colour was a coincidence!

Yeaps, there you have it. The 'tone' is not so obvious in this picture, there's actually a tone to the blue tribal flames, darker at the bottom, becomes silvery-light blue towards the top. =p

And then, I've had to leave for Phuket the day after the night I finished my paintjob. And guess what? I forgot to wrap it with cardboard first before putting it into my bag! dammit... conventional clear coat takes quite a while to dry. It was my fault for forgetting that (my clear coating was sprayed on in the morning, bout 9am or so, my flight was at 3.30pm).

As a result? Damn paintjob got badly/deeply scratched!
Dammit! Cannot save liau... scratched all the way through the base coat even. =p

Oh well, I guess this means once I get home I'll be re-embarking on a new project to repaint my external HDD casing. =p

Here's some pics where the toning came up more apparent in the pictures. One was taken without flash, the other with flash. The blue paint I used was metallic, which is probably why the colour looks different with and without flash. =p

Tawandang German Brewery

This is one of the MUST VISIT places if you're in Bangkok. Tawandang German Brewery. Its a German beerhouse, that brews their own (very good) beer, and serves great German and mostly Thai dishes.

You can actually see the brewery coz' they use glass walls so that people can see the brewery from the bar/restaurant area. Strangely, the toilet is situated next to it! LoL... yeah, I saw it on the way to the toilet! haha...

Food arrives amazingly fast. Kinda makes me think they were someone else's that got wrongly delivered! LoL... then again the place seats 1600 guests (or so i read), I guess they have to be mass produced otherwise people would be screaming for their food. Food was GREAT btw... do try the deep fried pork knucle and the deep fried sea bass! These were recommended by a local that I went with... really, OMG!

They serve 3 different types of beer, the Larger (the normal kind), the Dunken (malt) which is slighly milder, and for the ladies, the Weizen, that's of a slightly fruity aroma. Good stuff! A mug only costs about 85 Baht or so, a jug is about 200 Baht. Didn't ask for the price for the beer tower though, hehe. =p

Entertainment was superb. Crowd was superb and really into it (what other place do you know of that people stand up at their dining table to dance!!? haha). Staff were spread around evenly and all of them were very participative in the entertainment on stage.... when the song YMCA was performed all staff stood where they are and danced to it! LoL...
If it was your birthday, they'll have this TGIF styled thingy goin on, where a lot of staff surround ur table singing u a birthday song while bringing out the cake, and on top of that, got a guy holding a HUGE "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" sign behind u, and a cameraman in front of you taking you so that the whole place of 1600 people can see your blushing face ON THE BIG SCREENS !!! LOL... Yeah, the place is too huge so they got projector screens and TV spreaded around in case you're too far from the stage or you're being blocked by a pillar. =p

Live entertainment, daily!
All in all, the night out was GREAT. =p They close at about 1am, but please go there EARLY. Everyone goes there for dinner and then sits till it closes, so if you wanna get good seats, GO EARLY! I went there at 8.30 and I had to sit WAAAAAY back, can't see the stage, gotta look at TV.

Luckily got one table left around 11 plus, thats when I changed table and sat closer a bit so can see the stage. We were supposed to go at 7 originally, but last minute had some work that delayed our departure. So GO EARLY!

Phuket Festival 2007

Every year, to mark the beginning of the high season here in Phuket (Nov-Feb), there will be a Phuket Festival(formerly known as Patong Festival) along Patong Beach! Its organized every 1st-3rd November of every year.
Jazz Music being performed by local Thais
There's a concert stage on the beach where various people come to perform be it local or foreigners. Usually, people who work around the area in a band or something.

Then there's these things everywhere... people selling paper hot air balloons for you to light up. Supposed to give you good luck or something. Didn't quite ask how much they were though.

It was fun la walking along the beach during the Phuket Festival. Its the beginning of high season, meaning from today onwards till the end of February, Phuket is going to be packed with tourists!
The high season started wit a bang! Quite literally, as there are fireworks being lit at night. Loads of paper hot air baloons being released. Loads of food. Loads of hotels that open a small booth to sell simple foods and cocktails just to join in the fun! Loads of GREAT BIG PRAWNS and LOBSTERS!

So the Melacca rave is this coming weekend right? I'm sure many Malaysian party-goers are all packed and ready to go!! What better way to get away from the everyday routine of goin to work or goin to college or uni... (i'm not gonna say goin to school, coz' if u still go to school, u're underaged for this! =p)

So most people I'd say would rent a nice place, likely a bangalow, nearby the rave event venue, so they don't have to endure the bad traffic jam goin there and goin home after its ended. On top of that, what can be better than spendin' some quality time with your buddies... possibly have a BBQ session for dinner before the rave, and of course its a good venue for the 'after party' as well... if you're still standing of course. LoL... otherwise there's also the 'after party' that you do lying down... haha.

So what else goes on at a rave besides good music and non-stop dancing?
ALCOHOL OF COURSE!

How can anyone club without alcohol?!?! LoL... =p
But nonetheless, with LOADS of drinking, comes LOADS of after effects. What could be more dreadful than a HANGOVER the next day?!? Especially if you're having to check out by 12pm and then having to drive all the way back home which journey takes hours!! Now wouldn't that just suck??

Each room got a coffee presser!! Yes, you too would definitely fall in love with this thing... =p

If you're in the suite rooms, you get to have an espresso machine next to your bed!! The thing next to it is a wine cellar!

The hotel has 3 swimming pools... I personally like the design of the pool... here are some random shots of it.

Oh yes... and guess what? The whole hotel is BOSED! LoL... as in, filled with BOSE sound systems! And I don't just mean the BOSE Ipod dock thats in the rooms...

I meant... the whole hotel, is LITERALLY Bosed! Like, they have an outdoor Bose sounsystem that has a speaker like, every 10 meters apart or so, hiding somewhere in the bushes. =p

It plays slow music all day... so picture yourself sitting by the pool, chilling to the sounds of a light waterfall and slow music... with a cold drink in your hands... ahhh... heaven!

So anyhowz, today I was lookin' at some batteries right...
And then I came across this one unique one... Its a Panasonic battery with an apple logo on it. At first glance, I thought it was THE Apple punya Apple.
At first I thought, wow, could it be that Apple teamed up with Panasonic? Wonder it's to do whut leh, come up with special batteries for ipod arrr? Haha... But no lar, after looking at it closely it's not lerz. Just a normal apple shaped logo only.

After I'm done staring at the apple logo only I noticed something...

Riverside, Chiang Mai

Searchin' for a place to go in Chiang Mai that's happening for both foreigners and locals? The answer for you would be,RIVERSIDE!
Yes, its a restaurant and bar place in Chiang Mai, thats situated by the river.

Damn awesome environment, and an EVEN MORE AWESOME HOUSE BAND! Yea, no joke, the house band is damn good. They play mostly English songs, and I must say, to date, they're like the best Thai band I've ever listened to. Not to mention the English songs they sang are all pronounced accurately, that you'd find it hard to believe they're a Thais! =p No joke...
They also have an option of you having dinner on a BOAT man! =p They'll just cruise around the river while you have a romantic candlelight dinner on it. =p

Anywayz, the place is seriously damn nice. If you haven't been to Riverside while you were at Chiang Mai... you might as well jump down a river and drown yourself! LoL... the place is damn famous, and its packed every night, especially on weekends... so make sure you don't just go there without a reservation.

So what is it like shopping here in Chiang Mai?? Well, you could of course walk through the Night Bazaar, aka night market along the steets that are soooo well organized and planned out and built that you could even walk along it during the rain and not get wet. They 'unite' their shades man. LoL. There you can get heaps of stuffs from T-shirts, shoes, pyjamas, to souvenirs, handycrafts, lamps, things you need and things you do not need... they even have massage booths being setup man!

But what's it like in Shopping Centres? Well... pretty much the same at home really. Cept for a few interesting things that I happen to bump across...

Long overdued post.

9th September 1997, my beloved grandmother passed away. This year marked her 10th year death anniversary. A day that will be remembered for the rest of my life.

I still remember like it was yesterday, how I used to spend my time with my Grandma. I've been living with my Grandma all my life until she passed away, thats 17 years. She passed away while I was in form 3 in secondary. I remember staying next to your casket every minute of the way till your burial... even sleeping in the hall with it.

She used to cook lunch for me everyday. We used to watch TV together and chit chat each day away. When i was younger, she used always bring me to Zoo Negara. There's this coffee shop that we always stop by on our way there to have our breakfast, my morning Milo and roti and kaya.
How my sister always used to scare me that there's sharks in the sea (That time watch Jaws, phobiaaa okaaay!), and how my grandmother always comfort me and convince me that my sister is just lying.

How I used to bully my grandmother by fast fast putting a cap on her head (which she dun like) and then fast fast take photo before she took off the cap and then laugh back at it afterwords! hehe... used to do this to waste the film (back in the days digicams don't exist) so can fast fast send to shop to develop them. =p I still got the pics okaaay! Oh how much I've missed your listening to your laughter.

I've had a lot of great moments with my beloved grandma. These memories will live on within my thoughts forever.

Amah, it's been 10 years already just like that. I'm sure you've heard all my prayers as I've never stopped talking to you in my prayers even up till today. I really hope you're up there looking down on all of us, smiling, happy with how we've all grown up and who we've all become.

One that you actually do not need to use coz' u can walk pass the sides... LoL. Dun ask me arr, how do I know why they have a gate in the middle of no where without walls. LoL =p

Well, before coming here to Chiang Mai, I've actually hand my mind set on trying some of the Northern Thailand exotic delicacies. I've been searching for it since day 1 that I'm here okaaaay! =p Finally bumped into it! =p

EXOTIC DELICACY NUMBER 1: Silk Worms

Okay lar, this one didn't taste so good to me. Or at least it didn't quite suit my taste. I don't really like the texture. Its crispy on the outside, but as soon as u bite into it, you can feel the soft insides come out. Got this kinda powdery texture goin on after the first bite. Not really something I enjoy. =p

EXOTIC DELICACY NUMBER 2: Cricket (Little?!?)

This one actually tastes good! =) I still remember last time when my dad used to rare and train Burung Merbuks (Zebra Doves) and bring them for singing competitions, he would feed these crickets to them. For RM1 u can get a handful of these from the fish shop. I still remember back in the days when my dad not around, I'm the one who has to catch these jumpers to feed to the birds.
But back to our exotic delicacy... this crickets are really not bad weih. They're fried till crispy crispy... yum yum! Kinda taste like eating deep fried ikan bilis minus the saltiness. =p Can get quite jelak after eating it too much. =p Bought a pack of these back to my room after trying it! I'd say a must try when you guys come here weih!

EXOTIC DELICACY NO.3: Bamboo Worm (WARM?!?! LoL)

HOLY COW! This is actually DAMN KAU GOOOOOOOOD !!!!!! No joke weih... after trying this i bought their biggest pack available! Its DAMN NICE! Its DAMN ADDICTIVE! Once u pop, you can't stop!! No joke! Its crispy, and you can get a kind sweet flavour on it. OMG OMG OMG! ITS DAMN GOOD!! Downside is its damn expensive man! But serious damn nice laaa... a must try! Will try to bring some back for you guys, and will make CarMAN eat because she loves worms so much! HAHAHAHA...

As some of you might already know, I'm currently in Chiang Mai, THAILAND. Yes, THAILAND.
OMG man, I can't believe sooooo many of you guys out there thought it was in Vietnam. ITS NOT!

So yeah, I checked into Suriwongse Hotel, and I stayed in their Executive Suite room. Nothing to shout about really. The room is big and all, but lacking the 'WoW' factor. Therefore I never really took any pics of the room lar. =p

The meal vouchers is like, OMG damn small kid weih! So colourful and all... it kinda reminds me of the old days, Hari Kantin in Primary/Secondary school when we ~~were forced~~ happily bought our colourful cash vouchers that came in booklets of RM10 to spend on that very day on food or whatever nonsense was setup to suck our money for a so called 'school renovation to give better facilities' that never happened... at least, not until i left the school.

Most of the hotels that I go to usually don't use coupon systems anymore. They have this thing called a computer where u just state your name and room number to the restaurant receptionist, and it should be in their records, so you just walk in and makan. =p

But one thing about this hotel did put a smile on my face every morning. =) Their breakfast...

Its not that they have the widest range of breakfast, its not that they have the tastiest omelettes, its not that hey have the best orange juice... nothing like that... So what is it? See it for yourself... here's a zoomed in pic

I must say they're the only hotel I know who bothers to SHAPE their sunny side up eggs! hehe... =p

So here I am once again, this is just gonna be a short post of signs you don't usually see that I've found on board the Star Cruises Virgo! =p

But First, for those of you who wanna see what the standard room looks like... well, it looks like this. And its 4 people to 1 room!

star cruises pics

As some of you know, I've went on Star Cruises Super Star Virgo for a week and a half, just got back last week lar. =p

And as most of you also know, its not my first time there, and its probably also not my last. =p But before this I never took any pics, but now got lah quite a lot also! =p So here are some pics to share with all.

So what's so great about Star Cruises you ask?? Why do people pay such a high price to go on board cramped in a small room with a "window" with a beautiful "view" cruising around in international waters??

Well... to GAMBLE OF COURSE!! Thats the main attraction... if not, takkan the GREAT VIEW of water, water, and MORE WATER meh?

There's actually quite a lot of other things to do on board if you don't gamble. You could take their special cruises that usually port stays for passengers to visit what ever places they stop at lar. Star Cruises Virgo stops at Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore mainly. Sometimes Vietnam during their special cruises. On weekends, they usually don't port. Only loitering around international waters so that their casino can be opened for business.

Now this is something not many people might know about... when a large ship is approching a port to park, the port will send over somebody to come on board the ship to guide the ship through its surroundings to reach the port. The reasoning being that they know better which part is shallow, which part got rocks, etc etc.

You see only one person very nicely dressed up in a stylo uniform. The rest just look like fisherman.

They call him... a PILOT.

I call it... world's most expensive jockey service!!
I mean... how much do you think they charge for that service huh? Assuming if you want to park your ship an additional hour it costs $50,000 Singapore Dollars in Singapore's Harbor Front port!!

Anywayz, this time around I did go down to Phuket for dinner and to give a surprise visit to some colleagues and clients. =)

This is what Langkawi's port looks like. I didn't go down Langkawi though. Felt a bit lazy and I had a bit of work to finish up on board the ship. Luckily I didn't go also, it rained like an hour later after they reached the port. Haha... Originally thought of going down and go karting with some of the ship's crew punya... oh well! =p

So if gambling is not really your thing, but you wanna go on a cruise trip, then go for one of their travel cruise instead of gambling cruise lorh. By gambling cruise, I meant on weekends, STar Cruises Virgo doesn't port stay, from Friday to Sunday... all it does is cruise around international waters, for the main purpose of letting people gamble lorh. So u're pretty much stuck on the ship for the whole 3 days 2 nights.

So just what do you do?
Well...
You could chill at the top deck where to swimming pool is! Can go swimming! Got jacuzzi! Got SPA center. Can do your hair there at the saloon! Got gym there also!

Can also play games during the pre-cruise party! Or listen to their cruise band play at the stage by the pool!
They're quite good!

Can chill by the lobby and listen to music! Which by the way has a grand piano and some great singers too!

Can play Mahjong! They even have games room and a library man!

But what we did was, play Trivial Pursuit... Lord Of The Rings edition!

There's loads more you CAN do lar on board. A lot I didn't managed to take photos of mar. There's disco. An activity centre. Galaxy Of The Stars is like a lounge/pub place that also organizes activities such as Bingo or other famous gameshow games, or even meet the star sessions (if they have a singer performing on board. Like last month, Michael Learns to Rock performed on Star Cruises Virgo).

Then there's also a jogging track on the top deck, mini golf, a driving range, rock climbing facilities, and probably some activities that I left out and can't recall at this moment. =p

I didn't really manage to take many pics with all the crew I met on board. So hopefulyl next time got chance la yaaaa! =p

Sorry lah, haven't updated my blog in a while. Was in Star Cruises Virgo for a week plus plus (and the internet there is slow as hell!! Can't even login my blog man!), and now that I'm back in office, got quite a bit of stuffs to do, don't really have time to upload all my photos yet. Got over 1000 photos okaaaay! Not that i'm gonna post up all 1000 lar, a lot of repeated pics... Thanks to Kirby for the pics! They aren't my camera laaa... all Kirby punya! =p Still waiting for a few more pics from him that I haven't copied over yet. Must star camwhoring wif my own camera adi... hahaa... keep camwhoring on other people's camera only! =p

Anywayz, my trip to Star Cruises Virgo is fun as always. The staff there has always been accomodating, made a few new aquaintances and all... its all guuuuud! Been drinkin' every night there while chilling with the crews after work. Food is great too! There's no such thing as starvation, heck, there's no such thing as hungry either! Not when they serve breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea, dinner, supper and LATE supper!!! And not to mention that you can makan in a variety of places, MORE THAN ONCE! And its all kinda like buffet laaa... even their sit down dinners can reorder punya at no charge at the free restaurants that are included in your boarding passes.

WAHLAU... been damn busy in the office past few days, hardly have time for myself! =p Haven't even gotten the pics that were taken last weekend in bambo9 during Lisha's farewell! =p

So today i was digging through some old pics, and decided to post up a bit on my miniature modelling hobby. =p

What i'm gonna show you is a model I found lying around for like, forever! =p Its a very very old piece which I had done ages and ages ago when I was much younger (and i sucked back then!) so the paintjob is very very bad. =p

The paintjob as you can see is very uneven. =p This is an old school Mini Cooper.

So now you have an old ugly car... what exactly do you do with it?? Colour it all over again? Too much of a hasstle... that would mean i'd hav to tear the car apart, and sand down everything to be repainted again. MAFAN MAN! I might risk breaking the more delicate pieces also summore...

So i thought and i thought... and it finally hit me...!!

Like the father of rap proudly chants it. Changes. Inevitability is inevitable.

One year tomorrow signifies a gargantuan change in life. An anniversary of sorts you might say. Tomorrow will be a year since me and my Her were blessed with each others presence . Isn't it amazing how events can change in the span of merely 364 days; It is truly flabberghasting even if it was for the better or for the worse or the very very extreme worst.

All things said and done (mentally) I had detailed plans to carpe diem, unfortunately, thing's never go as planned. If anything, they go the direct opposite direction. It's like punishing your brakes till you hear an ear-splitting screech and taking a 180 degree turn to cover back the forgotten tracks made only moments earlier. Backtracking. Two steps forward, three steps back. Walking into the past. Alas, such is life. Some say that the higher you are, the harder you fall, I for one, choose to digress. As experienced in the past few days, it is apparent that living conditions are tougher when you're down and life decides to kick you in the gonads. It hurts. A lot.

Anyone reading this must be thinking "poor guy, girlfriend left him". Alas, that is not the case here. Not now at least. That would be bad, really bad. Although with my current streak of bad luck, it is not surprising. Thankfully, She has been nothing but supportive throughout my enduring days and I am nothing but thankful of her presence in my life.

Rocky Balboa (2006)

Synopsis:

Former heavyweight champion Rocky Balboa (Sylvester Stallone) steps out of retirement and back into the ring, pitting himself against a new rival decades after his initial glory. When a computer simulated boxing match declares Rocky Balboa the victor over current champion Mason "The Line" Dixon, the legendary fighter's passion and spirit are reignited. But when his desire to fight in small, regional competitions is trumped by promoters calling for a rematch of the cyber-fight, Balboa must weigh the mental and physical risks of a high profile exhibition match against his need to be in the ring.

As apposse to what many people would think about this movie when they see the title or the cover, is that its gonna be yet another one of those fight movies. Well, its more than just that. The movie concentrates more on the reflection of life, than the fight itself. Shows you how positive a person can be despite the many obstacles that you come across in life. I think a lot of people can manage to relate their life experiences from some parts of the movie. Go pick it up and have a watch in your free time. =)

Here are the 2 main highlights of the movie for me. Have a read of their dialogue. It's a bit of a long read, but i guarantee you won't regret it. The most important parts are highlighted in blue. =)

The first scene is when Rocky is sending Marie home, and he's unsure of what he wants.

The 2nd scene is between Rocky and his son.

SCENE 1

Rocky: I didn't think this was going to come along

Marie: But this is what you wanted right?

Rocky: You know I talk and I talk, and sometimes I think what I'm saying is true, and then... y'know, I look at myself, and I'm not even sure what is true anymore! Coz' like I push this crazy idea about fighting... i mean, what's it all about? Do I really care about standing toe to toe and all that stuff, or...or like my kid says, its just like, ego? Or am I like this old pub who's just trying to replace old paint with new paint? I don't know... I-I don't know.

Marie: Look, I know i usually don't say a lot... and I'm always listening, and looking and... but... y'know, who you are, y'know, the part of you thats so full of life... i mean... we all have that feeling, that fire, but usually never get a chance to use it, and then it just goes away.

But you can! You've got this oppurtunity, so do it! Why not! I mean, this is who you are. This is who you'll always be. And you don't move aside for nobody until you're ready to move. And it doesn't matter how it looks to other people, all that matters is how it looks to you.

Rocky... Rocky, look at me.

How... it looks... to you.

And if this is something that you wanna do, and if this is something that gotta do, then you do it!

SCENE 2

Robert: So you nervous about the fight?

Rocky: Scared to death

Robert: You don't look scared

Rocky: I ain't supposed to

Robert: Then you don't have to do it.

Rocky: Yeah, well I think I do.

Robert: Y'know, living with you hasn't been easy. People see me, but they think of you. Now with all this going on, it is gonna be worse than ever.

Rocky: It don't have to be.

Robert: No, sure it does!

Rocky: Why? You got a lot going on kid.

Robert: What? My last name? Thats the reason I got a decent job. Thats the reason why people deal with me in the first place! Now I start to get a little ahead, I start to get a little something for myself, and this happens. Now I'm asking you, as a favor, not to go through with this okay? This is only gonna end up bad for you, and its gonna end up bad for me.

Rocky: You think I'm hurting you?

Robert: Yeah, in a way you are.

Rocky: Thats the last thing I ever wanted to do.

Robert: I know thats not what you wanna do, but thats just the way that it is. Don't you care what people think? Doesn't it bother you, that people are making you out to be a joke, and then I'm gonna be included in that? Do you think thats right? DO YOU?

Rocky: You ain't gonna believe this, but you used to fit right here. I'd hold you up, to say to your mother, "this kid's gonna be the best kid in the world. This kid's gonna be somebody better than anybody I ever knew".

And you grew up good and wonderful. It was great just watching you everyday, it was like a privillege. Then the time come for you to be your own man, and take on the world, and you did. But somewhere along the line, you changed. You stopped being you. You let people stick a finger in your face and tell you you're no good. And when things got hard, you started looking for something to blame. Like a big shadow.

Let me tell you something you already know. The world ain't all sunshine and rainbows. Its a very mean and nasty place. And I don't care how tough you are, it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life... but it ain't about how hard you hit, its about how hard you can get hit, and keep moving forward... how much you can take, and keep moving forward. Thats how winning is done.

Now if you know what you're worth, then go out and get what you're worth, but you gotta be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you ain't where you wanna be because of him, or her, or anybody. Corwards do that and that ain't you! You're better than that!

I'm always gonna love you no matter what... no matter what happens. You're my son, you're my blood. You're the best thing in my life. But until you start believing in yourself, you ain't gonna have a life.

Cars that annoy you...

On my way to work today, 2 different Perodua Kancils annoyed me. I know la they're accelerating as fast as they can, but please la, driving on the fast late, got a faster car behind (who's late for work!) and a mile of empty road in front of you... have the courtesy to move into the left lane and give way la, please lah. Its frustrating having being forced to overtake u on your left lorh. I quite hate overtaking on the left wan, only do it if i'm forced to, coz' its dangerous man.

Actually come to think of it, the way Malaysians drive sometimes, so very impatient! Surely everyday also will bump into at least 1 car that annoys you, whether or not it involved you or not also sometimes can annoy you; like you being stuck in traffic jam, and you noticed got this car who keeps forcing his way through switching lanes constantly to which ever lane is moving, but alas despite his changing lanes 10 times, he's still only 5 cars ahead of you. Doesn't quite directly involve you, but somehow still annoying to see got people drive like that.

Hmmm... my 1st blog post. Not gonna be particularly about anything, but just something to get things started. =p

Still playing around with the functions... blog virgins like me, haiseh, dunno what is what also. Damn noob sialz. =p

Anyway, not gonna talk about myself or introduce myself or anything la, you'll get to know me as time goes by... I wouldn't know what to write lorh if you want me to summarize the past 25 years of my life in a brief introduction. LoL... =p People like me so damn complicated wan... cannot lah, cannot lah. =p You just will just have to read on to get to know me better! hehe...
